Fairy Party

Decorations:
Anything that glitters or looks magic, from a sprinkling of glittery cardboard stars around the wall of one room to a complete fairy grotto with the walls draped in metallic - threaded fabric and magic toadstools (cushions covered in white-dotted red fabric) for children to sit on. Drape the table in muslin, tie at the corners with bonus, attach glitter glue stars to light it up here and there.

Cake:
Anything pink and sparkly

Food:
Sausage rolls, fairy bread, fairy cakes, chips, fruit and vegemite sandwhich

Drink:
Fruit punch

Prizes:
Simple magic tricks, small hardcover note books with fairies and decorated with glitters, plastic jewels, star stickers. Also sparkley stars and glitter parcels.

Dinosaur Party

Decorations:
Spread brown sheeting (mud) on the floor, or hessian, anchored down by stones to create a primeval swamp. Hang green and brown streamers from the ceiling and walls, some straight and some curled. Brighten things up with some splashy primeval flowers cut from coloured cardboard.

Cake:
Anything brown with plastic Dinosaurs on top

Food:
Rocky Road, Baby Burgers, Meatballs, Sausage Rolls, vegemite sandwiches, chips, fruit and mini pizzas

Drink:
Fruit punch, chocolate milk

Prizes:
Plastic dinosaurs, dinosaur stickers, dinosaur activity books, dinosaur colouring in books.

Teddy Bears Picnic

Decorations: Choose an outdoor area and scatter numerous teddies around it, use a rug for picnic food or a paper tablecloth covered with hand-drawn paw prints, tie balloons to trees.

Cake: Bear

Food: Teddy Bear Cakes, Sausage Rolls, Chips, Sandwiches, fruit

Prizes: clutching teddy nears, teddy bear stickers, books on teddy bears, pencils, erasers and notepads featuring teddies.

* Suggestion: Everyone brings their teddy bear.

Animal Party

Decorations:
Tack large pieces of butchers' paper to walls and invite children to draw an animal mural; place "please do not feed the animals" sign on wall, place large stuffed animals eg bears, giraffes, lions etc, in the party area; use plastic cups with animal stickers on side of cup.

Cakes:
Any animal

Food:
Chicken nuggets, stripe sandwiches, mini pizzas, choc chip crackels, chips, sausage rolls

Prizes:
Animal puzzles, small plastic or stuffed animals, books about animals, sheets of animal stickers. Colouring books on animals, pencils with animals on them.
